DURHAM — Durham animal control officers are warning residents to make sure their pets are vaccinated against rabies.
Animal Control said a fox attacked a man on Hunting Ridge Drive on Monday. The man captured the fox and it tested positive for rabies.
A dog that lived on Knotty Pine Drive might also have been attacked.
Animal control officers are canvassing the neighborhood and said they will be checking vaccinations on all pets living in that area.
Residents can get their pets vaccinated by appointment this week at the animal control office.
