PRINCEVILLE, N.C. — The town of Princeville, ravaged by the floods of Hurricane Floyd, will soon have a new park.
Working with the Trust For Public Land, Princeville received more than $165,000 in grant money from the state's Parks and Recreation Authority.
Riverside Heritage Park will anchor the Heritage Trail and be located between Highway 268 and the dike on the Tar River.
More money will be needed for the project. There is no timetable for completion of the park.
