RALEIGH, N.C. — Ticket scalping is just one of the problems police are handling during the Stanley Cup finals. Some people are selling tickets that are fake.
Police arrested Christopher Lewis, 24, of the Bronx, N.Y. outside the Entertainment and Sports Arena Saturday night. They said Lewis had a handful of counterfeit tickets.
Three fans who bought the fakes could not get into the game or get their money back. The $610 they paid to Lewis is being held as police evidence, along with the phony tickets.
