Wake County Meeting Demand For New Schools

RALEIGH, N.C. — The demand for more classrooms in Wake County is opening the doors to two new schools.

A 70-acre lot at the corner of Horton and Forestville roads will be the home of Knightdale High School and Forestville Road Elementary School.

The new high school will cost $42 million and serve 1,600 students. The elementary school will cost $9 million and serve 700 students.

Both schools are scheduled to open in 2004.
