DURHAM, N.C. — Eighteen months from now, dozens of old buses will soon be off the streets of Durham and replaced with brand-new ones.
The city announced Thursday it is receiving a $9 million grant to replace 32 aging buses in its

system.
The new buses will have easier-to-read signs and global positioning so they are easier to track. There will also have new fare boxes with a magnetic swipe feature to accept debit cards.
