Rocky Mount Authorities Arrest Suspect In Dog Burning

Posted Updated

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police have arrested a juvenile for setting a neighbor's dog on fire earlier this week.

Cagney, a 5-month-old puppy, is nursing several burn wounds after three suspects set her on fire. Her veterinarian said she should be fine.

Police say the suspect is in custody in a juvenile facility in Pitt County. His name is not being released because of his age.

Detectives are looking for two more suspects.
