<b>RAEFORD, N.C.</b> — A Hoke County district attorney has ruled out new witness information in a four-year-old murder case.

Brittany Locklear, 5, was kidnapped from her bus stop and murdered in 1998.

Last week, Sheriff Jim Davis said new information from a witness named Jordache Leach could help the investigation.

District Attorney Kristy Newton said Leach changed his story to get out of trouble. He is currently in the Hoke County jail on unrelated charges.
