KinderCare on Highway 54 will close its doors May 29.
State officials said the center did not correct a number of violations including inaccurate records, inadequate staff-to-child ratios, and failure to lock up hazardous items.
Parents said the center exceeded their expectations.
"The teachers paid so much attention to the students. They get a great education here. A lot of programs involve the parents, the family and the kids. My son just loves it here," said parent Cheryl Adams.
A spokeswoman from KinderCare's Corporate headquarters said the company has no excuse for what happened at the center.
The company blames a communication breakdown between managers and staff turnover.
