Husband Of Hit-And-Run Victim Upset Driver Out Of Jail

Posted Updated

NASHVILLE, N.C. — The husband of a Nash County woman killed by a hit-and-run driver is upset that the man charged with her death is out of jail on bond.

Sharon Coley was killed Tuesday while walking along a rural road with two family members. Dale Rose turned himself in Thursday and was released on $5,000 bond.

Ray Coley, Sharon's husband, said he wants justice.

"I just don't want to see this man walk away from this with some technicality or loophole or something like that," Coley said.

Rose had been charged twice before with driving while impaired. He has also faced drug charges.

Coley will be buried Saturday in her family's cemetery.
