Raleigh Approves Plan For 'Off-Leash' Dog Park

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Dog lovers will soon be able to take their best friends off the leash at a Raleigh park.

Millbrook Exchange Park will become the first "off-leash" dog park in Wake County.

The city council approved the plan Tuesday after months of lobbying from dog owners.

They will have to change a city ordinance that requires dogs to be kept on leashes at city parks. The dog park should open this fall.
