Wilson Police Warn Of Man Impersonating An Officer

WILSON, N.C. — Wilson police

are looking for a man who they saidis impersonating one of their own.

Police said the suspect knocks on doors and flashes a police badge.

They said so far, two elderly homeowners have given the man their money. They said the suspect told the victims he needed to run the serial numbers on the money to see if it was stolen.

Police only describe the suspect as well-dressed and clean-shaven. They said he tells his victims that his name is "Sgt. James."
