Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — More funding is coming to North Carolina to help patients living with AIDS.

The state will receive nearly $18 million from the Health and Human Services Department.

The funds will help pay for home-based community care, private health insurance and drug assistance programs.

More than $1 million of the money will be earmarked for people with physical and developmental disabilities.

That money will assist in rental payments and home modifications specifically needed for disabled people.
