FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The war on terrorism could go on for months, even years. Military families hope the support their loved ones are getting from home will continue.
Shoppers at Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville have been sending postcards to deployed servicemembers throughout the holiday season. At the Armed Forces Family Center, participants do not want those well wishes to end, now that Christmas is over.
"I think we need to take the time to thank them every day. It doesn't matter what time of the year," said military wife Letty Baker.
The Armed Forces Family Center, co-sponsored by WRAL-TV, is open at Cross Creek Mall every day from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
