RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities responded to an accident Thursday morning on Interstate 40.
The incident involving a car and a motorcycle happened in the westbound lanes of I-40 near exit 290.
Traffic was backed up on the interstate, but authorities have cleared the scene.
