Robeson County Community College will host a public memorial service for Master Trooper Stien Davis Jr., who died last week in a crash.

Davis was on duty and patrolling in his car when he lost control, went off the roadway and overturned in a swampy roadside area on N.C. Highway 130 on Feb. 22.

A public visitation and funeral service are planned for Wednesday, March 4, at the A.D. Lewis Auditorium at Robeson Community College, 5160 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Seating in the auditorium will be available on a first-come basis, with seats reserved for family, first responders and some invited guests.

A procession to the private graveside service will begin at approximately 3 p.m.

A public procession will take Davis from Robeson Community College onto Fayetteville Road (U.S. Highway 301) through Lumberton for approximately three miles to Meadowbrook Cemetery.
