A man and a woman died from a shooting in Durham on Monday.
As of Tuesday, Durham police identified the man as 23-year-old Damien Tinsley and the woman as 21-year-old London Powers. Police said that Tinsley was the suspect in this shooting.

Powers was a student at North Carolina Central University. University leaders said she was a Washington, D.C. native and in the university honors program.
A statement from NCCU celebrated London as a dedicated student who majored in social work and built her academic standing on a passion for serving others.
"London’s professors and peers will remember her as vibrant, hard-working and supportive student who poured her heart into her social work cohort," the message said.
Police responded around 3 p.m. Monday to Camden Pointe Apartments on East Knox Street just south of Interstate 85.
Tinsley was pronounced dead at the scene. Powers was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Tuesday morning, police announced she had died.
