The roof collapsed on the Handee Hugo gas station on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. 

First responders arrived on scene around 7 a.m. Friday.

Everyone was able to evacuate the building before it fell, according to Raleigh police.

A BP spokesperson told WRAL on scene that the collapse was caused by water accumulation on the roof. Raleigh Fire said it was possibly weather related, but they won't know for sure until the inspectors complete their ivnestigation. 

He said he anticipated it would take several months before the store was able to reopen.
