Rocky Mount shooting leaves two injured; investigation ongoing

Two men shot in Rocky Mount are expected to be OK.

Rocky Mount police responded shortly after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to a ShotSpotter activation on James Street.

When they arrived, officers said they found a man who had been shot. Police said a few hours later, a second man who had been shot arrived at UNC Nash Hospital.

Police have not released the names of the people involved, and it is unclear if a suspect has been identified.

The investigation is still ongoing.
