Robeson County sheriff: Person shot near Union Chapel Road, EMS vehicle stolen

Authorities on Saturday are investigating a shooting that involved an EMS vehicle being stolen in Robeson County.

According to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around Union Chapel Road and Denium Road between Lumberton and Pembroke. Deputies said the shooting also involved an EMS vehicle being stolen.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting, how the vehicle was stolen or the severity of the person's injuries.

Deputies said their investigation is ongoing.
