Travelers flying out of Terminal 2 will be dropped off at temporary Terminal 2 departures curb. It will be located between the parking garage and Terminal 1. It's expected to open in early 2028.

RDU is expected to add new signs, elevators, escalators and stairs to help move travelers from the temporary curb into the parking garage and between the terminals. Travelers will pass through the parking garage on two moving sidewalks.

In addition, airport employees will help direct passengers and aid those with physical limitations.

The diversion for dropoffs is expected to last through 2030.
