Delta to suspend RDU to Las Vegas route for summer

Delta Airlines will suspend some of flights this summer. 

Starting June 2, Delta flights between Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU) and Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS) are being suspended.

Service is expected to resume Sept. 8. 

Representatives said the changes were part of the airlines "routine network planning for the summer season."

Travelers do have other options for a nonstop flight to Las Vegas. Frontier and Southwest airlines have nonstop flights to LAS from RDU. 

More flight changes announced from Delta: 

• Service between Detroit Metropolitan Wayne Airport (DTW) and Sacramento will also stop on June 1, with plans to resume in March. 
• Flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport and Houston will stop June 7 and resume Sept. 8.
• Flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport to Memphis will also stop on June 7 and resume Sept. 8.
• Flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport to St. Louis will also stop on June 7 and resume Sept. 8.

• Flights from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne Airport (DTW) to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) will shift to weekend-only service in summer 2027.
