Hoke man charged with child rape

A Hoke County man was arrested Saturday and charged with rape involving children. 

Saqueo Ramos Hernandez, 39, of Hoke County, was charged with first-degree rape of a child, first- degree sex offense with a child, statutory sexual offense with child by an adult and indecent liberties with a child. 

Hernandez was placed in the Hoke County Detention Center under no bond. 

The Hoke County Sheriff's Office said they got a report on March 30 in reference to a sexual offense against a child by Hernandez. During the investigation, two additional juvenile victims were identified. 

On May 22, 2026, warrants for Hernandez were issued. He was arrested without incident on May 23.
