Two people died in an apparent murder-suicide on Tuesday in Raleigh.

According to Raleigh police, officers responded to a reported shooting just after 3 p.m. in the 2900 block of Sumner Boulevard.

Police said a man was dead at the scene when they arrived. EMS took a woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.

On Wednesday morning, police said the women died from her injuries.

Authorities said the shooting was part of a domestic violence situation. The two were not identified by police.
