Man stabbed in stomach near downtown Raleigh, suspect in custody

A man is in the hospital after Raleigh police said he was stabbed Sunday night.

Around 11:30 p.m., police officers responded to a home on Idlewild Avenue. The WRAL Breaking News Tracker saw officers blocking off the road as they investigated.

The man was stabbed in the stomach, according to police. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

Officers said the stabbing started as a domestic dispute, and a man is in custody.
