Former state employee files complaint against auditor
A former state employee is accusing the State Auditor Beth Wood of firing her because of her political affiliation.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A former state employee is accusing the State Auditor Beth Wood of firing her because of her political affiliation.
Alanda Vance said Wood terminated her because she is a Republican.
A hearing on the complaint was held on Monday. It will continue on Tuesday.
Vance was let go in June 2009 after more than 22 years as a state employee.
