A Pittsboro spa is under investigation after police said officers received complaints about 'suspicious activity.'
Police said a report from October 2025 accused Blue Jade Spa of operating as an illegal, unlicensed massage business.

Officials said there were also concerns about people staying at the business and rarely leaving.
After a months-long investigation, officials determined that illegal sexual activity and potential human trafficking occurred at this location, police said.
A search warrant was executed at the business on Friday, police said. No arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
