A Pittsboro man was taken into custody in Randolph County for child sex crimes, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said.
On Thursday, SBI officials said Mark Keeney, 63, was charged with two counts of felony solicitation of a child by computer and one count of felony indecent liberties with a child. It comes as officials investigated Keeney in October 2025 and found inappropriate communications with a minor on his computer.
