Highway Patrol: 2 dead from plane crash near Pitt-Greenville Airport

The Highway Patrol said there are no survivors after a plane crashed in Greenville Friday morning.

The Highway Patrol confirms the remains of two people were found at the scene.

The crash is in the area of N. Memorial Drive and Belvoir Road. Police say N. Memorial from Airport Road to Belvoir Road is closed at this time.

The NCDOT said the highway will likely be closed until at least 7 p.m.

Trooper Rico Stephens said there’s no evidence the plane hit the roadway.
