Pickup crashes into semi-truck on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh

Police are investigating after a pickup truck crashed into a semi-truck in Raleigh.

The incident shut down the road early Monday morning at Capital Boulevard near Oak Forest Drive. Raleigh police said the driver of a white pickup truck rammed into the rear of a large semi-truck before it flipped on its side.

The operator of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.  

The road reopened shortly before 3 a.m. 

Investigators are working to determine what led up to the crash and if there will be any charges.
