A woman is dead after she was hit by multiple cars on the Raleigh beltline.

Raleigh police said that around 8:30 p.m. Friday, 30-year-old Qui Yana Kellon was walking westbound on the white lane dividers in between two lanes of Interstate 440 near the Six Forks Road and Wake Forest Road interchanges before she was hit by a car.

She was then hit by other cars. She died as a result of her injuries. 

All parties involved remained on the scene, police said. Police did not mention if they plan to charge anyone, as the investigation remains ongoing.

Police closed several lanes on I-440 between Six Forks Road and Wake Forest Road while they investigated the crash.
