Man shot, killed in Fayetteville home over the weekend, police say

Fayetteville police have identified a man killed in a weekend shooting.

Around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Fayetteville police officers responded to a shooting at a home on Berwick Drive near Glensford Drive.

They found Kenneth Jamiel Gillis, 40, inside the home with gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.

Family members were notified.

This is an active investigation.
