Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A state commission has awarded a $10,000 Fast Track Grant to a Charlotte-based nonprofit group to help raise awareness about organ and tissue donation.
The License to Give Trust Fund Commission, under the North Carolina Department of Administration, awarded the money to The Waiting List, which uses real stories of people who are connected by donors.
The group will use the money to expand its multimedia messaging through storytelling that would humanize the statistics and initiate conversation about organ donation in the state, the Department of Administration said Tuesday.
