Thorp addresses Cary graduates

Graduates of Cary Academy heard from one of the local leaders in the higher education community Saturday.
Holden Thorp, the chancellor of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, delivered the keynote address to 99 seniors, their families and friends.
Thorp, who grew up in Fayetteville, began his college career at UNC. He also holds a Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology, and did postgraduate work at Yale University. He became chancellor in 2008 at the age of 43.
