ZEBULON, N.C. — The Carolina Mudcats will be searching for their next national anthem singer during tryouts this weekend.

The minor league baseball team will hold auditions at Five-County Stadium in Zebulon Saturday. All performers will sing "The Star Spangled Banner" a capella and on the field as if they were singing at a game.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. on the third-base side of the stadium. Auditions are first-come, first-served and will run until noon.
