Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — Over 1,000 Duke University and North Carolina Central University students came out Saturday in support of Keep Durham Beautiful.
Students picked up litter and tree limbs. They also painted rusty guard rails in the Walltown community.
“This is an amazing project and a great partnership with both Duke and NCCU to start the school year. These events take a number of large projects off the city’s landscaping division’s fall ‘to-do’ list,” Dorothea Pierce, executive director for Keep Durham Beautiful, said in a statement.
