CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The canine mascot for the Durham Bulls created his own piece of artwork on Saturday to raise money to help homeless animals in the Triangle.

Lucky the Wonder Dog and his friend Little Lucky created art to be auctioned off at the 7th Annual Painted Chair & More Auction to benefit Independent Animal Rescue (IAR), spokeswoman Jennifer Naylor said.

The dogs painted their own chairs at the Canine College of Chapel Hill, 719 New Hope Church Road in Chapel Hill, on Saturday afternoon.

Independent Animal Rescue is a private, non-profit animal rescue run by volunteers.
