Zookeepers will place papier-mache eggs, made by zoo volunteers and filled with edible treats, in some of the animal exhibits.

Keepers will also be available to answer questions at these scheduled times: otters, 10:30 a.m.; cougars and red river hogs, 11 a.m.; lions, 11:30 a.m.; puffins at Rocky Coast, 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.; chimps, 2 p.m.; elephants, 2:30 p.m.; and baboons, 3 p.m.

As an added treat, Radio Disney will provide giveaways in the North America Plaza from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Egg-Stravaganza” is part of the zoo’s ongoing animal enrichment program to provide both mental and physical stimulation for the animals, allowing them to find and play with the treats as well as experience the tastes and smells.
