Durham County fifth-graders take environmental field day

— Fifth-graders from public and private schools across Durham County will participate in an environmental field day Tuesday.

The Durham Soil and Water Conservation District planned the day of activities at the city's West Point on the Eno park starting at 10:00 a.m.

Professionals from a variety of fields will use the natural setting to instruct students in science studies that complement their classroom curriculum.
