Fair offers transit options

Visitors to the N.C. State Fair can park and ride on weekends from Chapel Hill and from Research Triangle Park.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Visitors to the North Carolina State Fair can park and ride on weekends from Chapel Hill and from Research Triangle Park.

Triangle Transit will operate hourly express bus service from Eubanks Road Park-and-Ride between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the two Saturdays of the fair, Oct. 18 and 25. Buses will operate between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the two Sundays of the fair, Oct. 19 and 26.

Buses will run 30 minutes after the hour from the Triangle Transit RTC in RTP between 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the two Saturdays of the fair, Oct. 18 and 25. Buses will operate between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the two Sundays of the fair, Oct. 19 and 26.

A round-trip ticket costs $5 for riders over 12 and $2.50 for senior citizens and the disabled. Children under 12 ride free.
