Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — The Durham Bulls Athletic Park is one of 300 locations across the country hosting an event Thursday to help the homeless.
Project Homeless Connect is also being held at the Hargrave Center in Chapel Hill and Moore Square Park in downtown Raleigh.
The event is designed to connect homeless people with a broad range of services needed to help them transition into housing and more stable living conditions. Services offered at the event include haircuts, personal care products, food stamps and employment applications.
The event begins at 10 a.m. at all Triangle locations.
