Posted — UpdatedCHARLOTTE, N.C. — The summer season is coming to a close at Carowinds amusement park. Beginning Aug. 23, the park will be open only weekends and holidays through Oct. 26.
The last day to splash at Boomerang Bay water park is Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1.
Fall events at the park are as follows:
- Christian Music Day: Oct. 4
- Howl O’ Fest: Weekends in October
- Halloween Haunt: Friday and Saturday nights from 7 p.m. to midnight Sept. 26-Oct. 25 and Oct. 19, 26, 30 and 31.
