Raleigh church gives out bookbags

Pastor Jerome Gay said last year the group gave out 100 bookbags. This year 1,500 bookbags were handed out. Each bag contained a paper, pen, pencil, calculator and glue.

Raleigh church gives out bookbags
RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh church gave away school supplies on Saturday to help children get ready for classes.

Members of the Vision International Church in Raleigh also provided free haircuts to get children ready for the first day of school.

This was the second year the church held the “Bless the Future” event.

Pastor Jerome Gay said last year the group gave out 100 bookbags. This year 1,500 bookbags were handed out. Each bag contained a paper, pen, pencil, calculator and glue.
