FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Patients at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center will have more space to stretch out when construction of the new, $150 million addition opens in September.

Patient rooms in the tower will be 50 percent bigger than those in the rest of the hospital, Clinton Weaver, marketing and outreach director, said.

The rooms will make the most of new technology -- for patients and their care. Patients and visitors will enjoy a flat-screen TV in each room. Doctors and nurses can access patient records and tests via in-room computers.
