— Students at West Johnston High School have a much nicer setting in which to study thanks to the efforts of their peers and a grant from Lowe's.

Students from the landscaping and Future Farmers of America installed the Reading and Sculpture Garden as an outdoor sanctuary on campus.

The garden features plantings amid a walking path with benches for seating.

“The goal was to create an area where the students could gather, study, eat and socialize in a beautiful natural environment,” Horticulture and Landscape teacher William Weaver said.
