ASHEBORO, N.C. — The N.C. Zoo welcomed a new member Wednesday.
A 16-year-old male gorilla, on loan from a zoo in Columbus, Ohio, was introduced to his new habitat.
Over the new few weeks, zoo officials will gradually introduce him to the female gorillas in the troop before he is added to the permanent, public exhibit at the end of the month.
