Raleigh high schools get top rankings nationwide
Three Wake County high schools were included Tuesday in U.S. News & World Report's rankings of the best high schools in the nation.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Three Wake County high schools were included Tuesday in U.S. News & World Report's rankings of the best high schools in the nation.
Broughton High School in Raleigh ranked No. 3 in the state and No. 996 in the country, the school system said.
Sanderson High School, also in Raleigh, ranked No. 12 in the state and No. 1,756 nationwide.
Each school earned the magazine's silver medal.
Garner Magnet High School was also ranked by the magazine as a bronze-medal school.
U.S. News & World Report worked with a Washington, D.C.-based research institute to evaluate 22,000 high schools in 49 states.
