A North Carolina immigrant rights group is warning that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will be back in the Triangle on Monday. However, an agency spokesperson told WRAL on Friday that this is just a rumor.
Siembra NC said their information is based on "credible reports." They said more than 50 ICE agents will head to the Triangle, though there are no specifics on what those agents would be doing.

The nonprofit recently saw 700 people sign up to particiapate in safe-to-school, safe-to-work patrols after the news of Border Patrol sweeps in the Triangle earlier in November. Officials said the patrols help undocumented people and their families get where they need to go.
