Authorities on Thursday said they are investigating a suspicious death in Nashville.

According to the Nashville Police Department, officers were conducting a patrol through the town around 4:09 p.m. During a security check at the abandoned W.L. Greene School between Sixth and Brake streets, they found a dead person.

Police said while they haven't identified the person, they said they are treating the situation as a suspicious death, adding that their investigation is ongoing.
