Man stabbed at Raleigh gas station, suspect in custody after standoff

A person is in the hospital and a suspect is in custody after a stabbing at a Raleigh gas station.

Raleigh police officers said a person was stabbed Wednesday night at a Sheetz on Millbrook Green Drive. Officers responded around 7:13 p.m.

The victim, identified as a man, was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Late Wednesday night, police told WRAL News the suspect has been “located and contained in the vicinity.” Thursday morning at 12:30 a.m., officers took Jarvis Gray into custody after a standoff at a nearby apartment complex.

Gray was taken to the hospital and eventually released to be taken to jail.

According to the arrest warrant, Gray was charged with assault with the intent to kill the victim. Gray bonded out of jail on a $150,000 bond.

The Sheetz reopened before 6 a.m.

Police said the stabbing appears to be isolated.
