When they arrived, deputies said they found a man had been shot. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

Angelo Quirino-Rodriguez, 18, was arrested Wednesday and charged with felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, discharging a firearm into occupied property and injury to real and personal property.

RPD arrested 24-year-old Axel Saguilan-Diaz on Thursday in connection to this shooting. WCSO  charged him with five counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property, one count of injury to real property and one count of injury to personal property.

After the shooting, some neighbors told WRAL News they were worried about their safety.

"We said, what's the matter? What happened? And he said one of our neighbors had been shot in the head," said Regine Lopez.

Lopez said she was not home when the shooting happened but got a phone call from a neighbor telling her to get home fast. She said she was glad there were no other injuries but was shocked to see a bullet hole through the bottom of her truck.

Several other cars were also hit by gunfire and marked by authorities.

According to Lopez, this is not the first shooting incident that has happened in the neighborhood.

"Less than a month ago, there was a shooting at the mobile home at the very bottom," she said. "It hit one of the shutters that was outside of the window of my neighbor's where my kids sleep."

She said hearing shots fired is "an every-week thing" for residents in the community.

"It's too much," Lopez said. "We don't feel safe here anymore."

Deputies did not release the name of the man who was shot but said he is expected to be okay.
